Our kits save lives.
"I will never hike without the kit again..."  Chris Baker, Hudson Valley Hikers.  Read more of Chris' amazing story here

All kits start with our unique triple layer defense:

     • Two waterproof fire starting tools
     • Two freeze proof signal devices
     • Two water purifying tools

Then we include a compass, knife, LED flashlight, first-aid kit, wet wipes, and a high quality emergency blanket.  These contents form the basics of all of our kits, and then we add appropriate gear to supplement the particular activity.  The kits are contained in an ultra-rugged, ballistic nylon Backbone case made by NiteIze®.

Why purchase from us?

  • As you will see all of our components are listed and are leaders in their field.  These are all premium products, not the junk we see so often in our competitors kits.  Our competition gives you safety pins, string, tiny fishhooks, and rubber bands.

  • Convenience - we have done the research, selected the finest, premium components, and housed them in a rugged carrying case.  You don't have to worry about missing anything.
  • Price - Our kits are 20% to 30% less expensive than if you assembled the identical kit at retail.  This is because of our purchasing power.

Why do we do this?

We hear all too often about people who go unprepared into the outback and perish.  We could give you hundreds of such examples.  One very lucky man crawled for four days until he was rescued, even though he didn't have any signal devices with him.  Or the case of a 12 year-old boy scout who got lost in Utah.  Fortunately these people were rescued before tragedy struck.  Our goal is to make sure you survive should the unforeseen happen.  While we can provide hundreds of examples of people all over the country who have gotten lost, we have chosen a few recent stories to explain the need to be prepared for whatever the future holds.
